Go

The classic board game Go. The objective is to surround a larger total area of the board with your stones than the opponent.

Place your piece on any junction of the board to begin the game. Switch turns with your opponent, setting one stone per turn. Enclose your opponent's stones fully to take them from the board. Control more area than your opponent by the end of the game to succeed. Use tactics to hinder your opponent's moves while increasing your own territory. Keep in mind that stones are fixed once placed, unless captured. Play concludes when both players forgo their turns consecutively, indicating no more moves can benefit either side.
